Lilac Blossoms Shrug to Crochet

Lilac Blossoms Shrug is my newest design. It is a crocheted shrug worked from cuff-to-cuff in a floral lace pattern. It begins with a flat rectangle that is seamed and all but one edging added without cutting your working yarn. This shrug adds a little extra warmth when worn over a top or a dress. Wouldn't it look great worn over a strapless wedding gown?

You'll need 580 yards of a DK or light worsted weight yarn and a size H (5 mm) crochet hook. A solid color works best to show off the lace motif.

Finished size is about 60" long x 14" around sleeves. It should fit up to an XL in size but is easy to adjust by changing the number of motifs you work, the size of the hook and the weight of the yarn you use.

You can also work this as a stole by adding more stitches in your beginning chain.

The pattern has written instructions and a crochet chart. It can be found in my Ravelry pattern store.
