Sadness

My MIL has finally lost her battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully about 10:30 this morning. Per her wishes, she died in her own home with her husband by her side. It's been a rough go for everyone. We're all glad she's not in pain anymore. Now we have to figure out how to put the pieces back together and go on without her. :-(

I may not be online much in the next few days. If anyone orders a pattern, please know I will get back to you as soon as I am able. Peace...

  2. Oh Vicki, I'm so sorry--but glad to hear your MIL is no longer suffering, and could die at home. I will be thinking of you.

I dropped by to tell you how much pleasure your bag has brought me. I've got it hung up in a place of honor in my office, filled with a washed fleece, and I've been thinking of you each time I look at it. I'm sending a hug, and wishing you peace at this hard time.

  4. My condolences! My dad passed away in July and I feel like my life will never be the same, yet "life" does continue. It's hard and sad, but it's just keeps on going. There is nothing like the comfort of family and knitting. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  13. so sorry to hear about your loss

I was at the Fiber Arts show in Allegan, I took my daughter. She took one look and said it was like dieing and going to heaven, all that yarn.

I bought a drop spindle and am hoping to take a class or have a friend teach me how to use it.

I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and plan on doing a lot of knitting since I am retiring soon.

I plan on making your whale cat toy for my cat, and for friends. I will definitely donate to the humane society.

Best of luck too you, and prayers for you and your family
