If someone knits these, post a comment letting me know how much yarn you used and I'll change it. Yarn weights are given as a 2 or 3 letter code. There's a chart at the end showing what they mean. Some patterns can be knit in any weight of yarn if you change the needle size to match the yarn. Click on the pattern name to go to the pattern. Newly added patterns are listed in red. This list is fantastic! Thanks for compiling it and putting the spotlight one so many wonderful small knits. I love knitting with leftover and scrap yarn and the projects on this list will keep me supplied in patterns for a long time to come.
I have two free patterns on my website that take very little yardage. One is a pair of knitted earrings that I estimate takes approximately 20-40 yards of yarn, though it may be less, I'm just not sure. The other is a short-sleeved shrug of which the size XS takes 185 yards. The other sizes take more yardage, size small and perhaps medium too would still be under 285 yards, but the other sizes will be more. These are the links to the patterns:

Hi, I have been keeping the link to this post on my Bookmarks Bar and was delighted to find today that the 500 patterns have grown to 653! There was one link that didn't work - the 150 yds Chunky Funky Cable Bag linked to Magknits - of course, Magknits doesn't exist any more.

Talk about a marathon! This motivated me into making one project after another. This might definitely help me make it through the winter boredom! I've been trying to figure out how to use my floor looms and my drum carders all winter that I ended up having a lot of yarn and not even a single sweater done. This list helps a lot - I don't have to browse from one blog to another, thanks to you!
