On Top of the World Shawl to Crochet

My newest crochet shawl design is a generous half circle shawl. I was stumped for a name until I heard a song by Imagine Dragons. Seemed to fit my feelings about this project perfectly!

This is an intermediate crochet pattern. It is crocheted from the top down in one piece. You'll need about 500 yards of fingering/sock weight yarn and a size G (4 mm) crochet hook for this project. I used Knit Picks Palette yarn in Edamame green. My blocked shawl measures 46" wide x 23" long. There is a smaller version option that uses 400 yards of yarn.

[If you want a larger size shawl, look at my On Top of the World 2 Shawl.]

The 5 page pattern features both written instructions and 2 crochet charts. You can purchase and download the pattern through my Ravelry pattern store.

Have fun!
